A petition has been created in response to an Indiana high school cancelling a production of Adam Szymkowicz's Marian, or The True Tale of Robin Hood. The production was cancelled due to  'safety concerns for the students involved' after parents learned that there are LGBTQ+ themes in the play.

FIM Flint Repertory Theatre will present another world premiere with The Future is Female... by Nandita Shenoy February 3-19. Shooter! introduces us to Professor Leia, who is befuddled by the task of ushering undergrads into the dramatic principles of playwriting and life lessons simultaneously. When a student brings in a violent play, she suspects him of being a possible school shooter. As Leia's home life becomes more dangerous, she doubles down on her fear of the potential shooter. A dark comedy about the danger of the dislocation of fear—both to the object of that fear and its agent. 

Irvington Theater will continue its summer of in-person, outdoor events on July 17, 18, and 24 with the New York premiere of Adam Szymkowicz's beautifully funny new play, The Parking Lot, a co-production with River's Edge Theatre Company.

Eric Walton, whose one-man show Esoterica was a long-running hit Off-Broadway, now presents the World Premiere of his newest evening of mentalism and mind-reading, VIRTUAL IMPOSSIBILITIES. Performances will be streamed live from Manhattan's wild project December 16 - 20 at 8pm EST / 5pm PST. Running time is 60 minutes.

Ken Barnett (Off-Broadway's Too Much Sun, Amazon's Mozart in The Jungle), Kyle Beltran (Broadway's The Cherry Orchard and In the Heights), and Emily Bergl (Dirty John, Shameless) will star in a virtual workshop of Ken Urban's new play Danger and Opportunity on October 28, 2020 as part of Kane Repertory Theatre's New Play Lab.

The digital workshop begins at 7:30 PM CT on Youtube and will remain available until November 1st at 7:30 PM CT. A live talkback with playwright Ken Urban, director Mark Brokaw, and Kane Repertory Theatre AD Daniil Krimer will follow the reading. All of our readings are free to watch, but a donation of $25 is suggested.
