2020 is already shaping up to be an incredible year of theatre. Here are some of our picks for the best new London shows to see in the new year. Some shows are already running, some start before Christmas, and some are already on sale, so you can get booking before ringing in 2020.

THE PRINCE OF EGYPT has released a music video featuring the brand-new love song by GRAMMY® and Academy® Award-winner Stephen Schwartz, Never in a Million Years, performed by Luke Brady and Christine Allado, who play Moses and Tzipporah respectively.

THE PRINCE OF EGYPT has released the first costume sketches by the Tony Award®-winning Broadway designer Ann Hould-Ward. The new stage musical, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell), a book by Philip LaZebnik (Mulan, Pocahontas) and based on the celebrated DreamWorks Animation film, features a stunning collection of over 380 costumes and 250 pairs of shoes and begins performances at London's Dominion Theatre on Wednesday 5 February 2020.

THE PRINCE OF EGYPT has released a new music video featuring a brand-new song by Grammy and Academy Award-winner Stephen Schwartz, titled 'Footprints on the Sand.' The song is performed by Luke Brady who plays Moses.

Jones' Diary: A Musical Valentine in concert is rammed with your favourite pop hits with incredible musical arrangements, such as 'Sexy Back', 'Fighter', 'Toxic' and 'Jump'. You will literally be jumping out of your seats. This concept originated in L.A where the team Tye Blue and Marion Pugliesi perfected the pop-culture parody genre. An immersive experience that invites the audience to submerge themselves into the story.

Romance of the Rose Productions announces the first casting for the new West End musical Knights of the Rose. Directed by Racky Plews and created by Jennifer Marsden, Knights of the Rose opens on 29th June for 9 weeks only at The Arts Theatre. Leading the noble Knights is Adam Pearce (King Aethelstan) who is joined by Chris Cowley (Palamon), Oliver Saville (Hugo), Rebecca Bainbridge (Queen Matilda / Bess), Rebekah Lowings (Isabel), Matt Thorpe (Horatio), Ruben Van keer (John), Katie Birtill (Hannah) and Bleu Woodward (Emily). Ian Gareth-Jones, Kelly Hampson and Tom Bales make up the ensemble.

Starring Ria Jones as Norma Desmond, and Danny Mac as Joe Gillis, the story of romance and obsession is based on Billy Wilder's film, with Don Black and Christopher Hampton's book and lyrics. The score, performed by a full orchestra, includes the title number Sunset Boulevard, and With One Look, As If We Never Said Goodbye, The Greatest Star Of All and The Perfect Year.

The UK Tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's hit SUNSET BOULEVARD is coming to the Koninklijk Theater! This touring production stars Ria Jones, Glenn Close's understudy in the recent West End production, as Norma Desmond, as well as Danny Mac as Joe Gillis. SUNSET BOULEVARD will open at the Koninklijk Theater on March 28th and run through April 8th.

Having enjoyed a wildly successful 2016 revival starring Glenn Close at the London Coliseum and a Broadway engagement in 2017, it seems fitting that Sunset Boulevard has embarked on a UK tour following a run at Leicester's Curve. With Artistic Director Nikolai Foster at the helm, this new production is a sleek, sophisticated and utterly riveting take on an Andrew Lloyd Webber classic.

Gallery Players will begin 2018 with William Finn and James Lapine's A New Brain. It is an autobiographical musical exploring illness and the healing power of art. A New Brain features music and lyrics by William Finn; book by William Finn and James Lapine. The show started as a concert at The Public Theater in 1996, then premiered Off-Broadway at Lincoln Center in 1998, directed by Graciela Daniele and featuring Malcolm Gets. In 2015 City Center presented A New Brain in their Encores! series with the cast headed by Jonathan Groff.
