Jack Davenport

Jack Davenport made his screen debut as a trainee zookeeper in Fierce Creatures (1997). He subsequently played Miles Stewart in the BBC television drama This Life (1996–1997). His early credits included The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999), Ultraviolet (1998), and the television series Coupling (2000–2004).

Davenport appeared as James Norrington in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003), reprising the role in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006) and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007). His other film credits include The Boat That Rocked (2009). His television work included The Incredible Journey of Mary Bryant (2006) and Swingtown (2008).

In 2009, Davenport starred as Lloyd Simcoe in the ABC science-fiction series FlashForward. In 2012, he joined the cast of the NBC musical drama Smash as Broadway director Derek Wills, appearing throughout the show's two-season run from 2012 to 2013.

Davenport has also provided voice work, including narrating an audiobook version of The Thirty-Nine Steps and recording portions of A Clockwork Orange. He provided the voice-over for British MasterCard advertisements and appeared in Snow Patrol's music video for "Called Out in the Dark" in 2011.

Davenport made his Broadway debut in 2018 as the Earl of Warwick in the Broadway revival of Saint Joan.
