BIO

PENELOPE DEEN is an award-winning New York City–based multidisciplinary theatre artist working across acting, producing, and choreography/movement direction. A Special Recognition graduate of Hunter College with degrees in Theatre and Women & Gender Studies and a minor in Dance, she has also trained with the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and Patrick Page Studio. Penelope made her Off-Broadway debut in Oceanborn and has performed and produced work internationally, including appearances at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Bogotá’s Festival de Teatro Alternativo, and most recently, touring India with Meanwhile Elsewhere through Darpana Academy. She currently serves as Program Manager – Producing at New Perspectives Theatre Company and Program Manager for the Gilder-Coigney International Theatre Forum. Penelope remains dedicated to creating social change through performance art.
