Paula Gaudier

Paula Gaudier is a Puerto Rican actor based in New York City. Off-Broadway, Gaudier made her debut in Liz Swados’ The Beautiful Lady directed by Anne Bogart at La MaMa Experimental Theatre. She was most recently in the new adaptation of Brecht and Weill’s The Threepenny Opera titled 3Penny Opera adapted and directed by George Abud alongside Katrina Lenk, Barbara Walsh, and Mary Testa at Theater at St. Jean. Regionally, she appeared in the World Premiere Ahrens and Flaherty revue Something Beautiful directed by Jason Danieley with music direction by Georgia Stitt, and A Little Night Music directed by Julianne Boyd starring Emily Skinner, Sierra Boggess and Mary Beth Peil, both productions at Barrington Stage Company; A reimagined actor-musician production of The World Goes ‘Round at Milwaukee Repertory Theater directed by Kelley Faulkner; Nina in In the Heights directed by Carlos Armesto at Bristol Riverside Theater; and Maria in West Side Story directed by Stephen Schellhardt at The Fulton Theater and also at Mac-Haydn Theater directed by Bryan Knowlton for which she was nominated for the Berkshire Theater Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Musical. In NYC, she has originated roles in James Abud is Alive and Güd and Living in Detroit directed by George Abud at El Barrio’s Artspace; and Exist: A New Musical directed by Marina Montesanti at Columbia University. Paula holds a BFA in Musical Theater from Manhattanville University and studied classical guitar at the Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico.
