BIO
Mia Angelique has been described as "incandescent" and "effervescent" on stage, and has a proclivity for portraying artistic/bookish, and complicated romantic leading ladies, often with a tragic ending. Mia played Emily Dickinson in the 2022 Broadway World Award winning production of Show Me Eternity by Dillon & Caps (Best Book of an off-off Broadway Musical and Best Score of an off-off Broadway Musical). She also played Audrey in Short North Stage's Little Shop of Horrors, and most recently portrayed the role of Mirjam Vos in the 2023 SheNYC Summer Festival production of The Moss Maidens by S. Dylan Zwickel (Festival Winner: Best Ensemble and Best Play).
Though born in Ohio, Mia received her BFA in Musical Theatre from Millikin University in Illinois, before ultimately relocating New York. Post-graduation she continued her studies in acting through several studios including The Markland Studio.

Short North Stage opened the regional premiere of the Tony-Award winning 'Passing Strange" last night in the gorgeous Garden Theater. Directed by Mark Clayton Suthers, "Passing Strange", with book and lyrics by Stew, tells the story of a young black musician on his artistic journey of self-discovery from his start in middle-class, South-Central Los Angeles in the late 70's, to the hash bars of Amsterdam, and the post-punk scene of Berlin, where he finds a temporary family in a group of German radicals, and struggles desperately to find his own "artistic soul".
