LAURA PIETROPINTO is a seasoned theatre director/producer, acting coach, drama teacher, and talent manager. She is currently the Associate Director on Make Believe by Bess Wohl, directed by Michael Greif, which is a NYTimes Critics Pick. She directed the premiere Asian productions of the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Next to Normal in Seoul and Tokyo for Michael Greif after having been the assistant director regionally, on Broadway and the 1st National Tour. Other Assistant Directing credits include: Superhero (reading) by Tom Kitt and John Logan, Bandstand (lab) directed by Andy Blankenbeuhler, Anne of Green Gables (reading), A Very Common Procedure (MCC), Satellites (Public), Get What You Need (Atlantic), Kid Simple (SPF), Avenue Q (Wynn Las Vegas), and Landscape of the Body (Williamstown).



Laura is committed to creative development and nurturing talent. She has produced and directed several concerts and developmental readings, including Cutting-Edge Composers, a platform for new musical theatre writers, which has an exclusive spotlight on Broadwayworld.com. Other concerts include: A Lasting Impression (Joe's Pub), Bolin Schmolin (54 Below), Broadway Sings for the Children of Honduras (Kimmel Center), Columbia University Songbook (54 Below), Jennifer Damiano and Adam-Chanler Berat at Joe's Pub, Peter Lerman in concert, Louis Hobson in concert, Eli Bolin 'n' Friends, Carner and Gregor, The Virginia by Peter Lerman (ASCAP), and College the Musical (Columbia University).



Laura is the Artist-in-Residence at Marymount School where she has taught and directed theatre for over a decade. As a professional acting coach, her students have appeared on Broadway, off-Broadway, on tour, regionally, on television and in film. Currently, Laura is a manager of child and adult actors through Terrific Talent (www.terrifictalent.com).



Laura was a member of the SDCF Observership Class of 2015-16. She received her BA from Columbia University.
