Greg Castiglioni trained at the Mountview Theatre school in London and has developed a theatrical career which has now spanned over 15 years. He has recently reprised the role of Thomas Andrews in 'Titanic' at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto after initially playing it at the Southwark playhouse in London marking the show's UK premier. He understudied The Phantom in 'The Phantom of the Opera (25th Anniversary Tour) and played Magaldi in Michael Grandage's revival of Evita at London's Adelphi Theatre. Other notable roles he has been seen in are: Gus & Bustopher Jones in 'Cats', (RCI Productions, Miami); u/s Thenardier (and also assisting the resident director) in ‘Les Miserables’ (Queens); Luiz in 'The Gondoliers', (Lowry, Manchester); Algernon Moncrieff in ‘The Importance Of Being Earnest” (tour); Master Low-Water in 'No Wit/Help Like A Woman (Globe); Paul in ‘Company’ (Southwark Playhouse); alternate Rusty in ‘Starlight Express’ (Germany); Art understudy Tito in ‘Lend Me A Tenor The Musical’ (Theatre Royal, Plymouth); Icestone in ‘Sleeping Beauty’- workshop (Sadler’s Wells); ‘Les Miserables’ (Palace); ‘Hair’ (Oslo Spektrum); ‘Les Miserables’ (UK tour).
Greg co-wrote and composed ‘Let Him Have Justice’ (T.E.Records), a musical based on the Derek Bentley case in which he created the role of Chris Craig.
He can be heard as: A-Rab in the ‘West Side Story’ 50th Anniversary recording (Decca Records) and was also a singer for the film soundtrack of ‘Mamma Mia!’ and in the cast recordings of ‘Evita’ (2006 revival) and Starlight Express (2002 German cast recording).
Greg is an experienced concert performer and cabaret artist. As well as having his own easy listening repertoire spanning songs from the 60s to present day, he has performed in numerous concerts in the UK and internationally. In the summer of 2014 he took part in the staged concert version of 'Kiss Me Kate' at the BBC Proms (Royal Albert Hall); he is part of the original quartet of singers for 'A Spoonful of Sherman' (St James Studio) which celebrated the acclaimed music of the Sherman brothers and in Germany organised concerts for UNICEF and for the Jose Carreras leukaemia fund, also singing with Sister Sledge for President Gorbachev.
