Valerie, a beloved star of the stage and screen, has played a wide variety of leading roles in Canada/Europe. Favorite stage roles include Sophie Tucker (critically acclaimed solo show), Shirley Valentine and a very popular Mother Superior in Nunsense. Recent credits: Widow Corney (Oliver!), Cecelia Weiss (Houdini). Favorite role for television: Principal Durst (“Strange Days”). Also voices Mrs. Bear (Nelvana’s “Rupert the Bear”).

81-year old Jamie Farr has been replaced by understudy Ian D. Clark, in JACK OF DIAMONDS at Theatre Aquarius, after a collapse while rehearsing. He was taken to hospital where he required urgent surgery for a blocked artery.

Toronto's most eagerly anticipated stage production will begin performances at the Princess of Wales Theatre on Thursday November 10, for a limited engagement of nine weeks, through Sunday January 8, 2012. The opening night is Saturday November 12, at 7:30pm.
