Tom Wilkinson, the British actor best known for his roles in The Full Monty, Shakespeare in Love, and Shakespeare in Love, and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, passed away at home at the age of 75.

The full cast has been announced for Deborah Moggach's The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel which opens at Richmond Theatre on Monday 5th  September 2022.

Andy de la Tour (Plenty, Notting Hill), Marlene Sidaway (ITV’s Coronation Street, BBC 1’s Pride and Prejudice) and Rekha John-Cheriyan (Kerbs, Tomb Raider, Dream Horse) will join the cast of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel when it begins its first-ever tour this Autumn, coming to Theatre Royal Brighton from Tuesday 20 to Saturday 24 September 2022.

The original cast of The Full Monty will reunite for a new limited series on Disney+. The series will star the original cast of the film, including Robert Carlyle, Tom Wilkinson, Mark Addy and Lesley Sharp. The new series will feature writing from the original film’s screenwriter Simon Beaufoy. Andrew Chaplin and Catherine Morshead will direct.

A brand-new stage adaptation of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is set to be a major new theatre production. Written by Deborah Moggach, adapted from her bestselling novel which inspired the BAFTA and Golden Globe-nominated film, and directed by Lucy Bailey, the cherished story will be brought to life on stage when it opens at the Richmond Theatre on Tuesday, 30th August 2022.
