Tweed & Company announces their 2024 season with a lineup of five major theatrical productions in Tweed and Bancroft. Tickets go on sale November 21st.

Played out under the bright lights of the U.S. Open Semifinals, The Last Match pits rising Russian star, Sergei Sergeyev against American great, Tim Porter in an epic showdown that follows two tennis titans through pivotal moments in their lives both on-and-off the court. This deep and intimate exploration of humanity and motivation serves as a perfect parallel to the back-and-forth play of life’s wins and losses.

The 1st Stage production of The Last Match by Anna Ziegler features Fabiolla Da Silva, Drew Kopas (previously seen in Airness), Ethan Miller (previously seen in Swimming with Whales), and Lynette Rathnam (previously seen in The Phlebotomist). The production is directed by 1st Stage Artistic Director, Alex Levy. On March 8th, at the Niagara Falls Marriott, Tweed & Company Theatre attended the annual Festival and Events Ontario awards gala and got a great surprise. The company, now in its 15th season, was named one of the Top 100 Festivals and Events in Ontario for the second time in their history.

This July Tweed & Company Theatre presents the highly-anticipated, regional premiere of the Canadian off-Broadway cult musical, Ride the Cyclone (book, music and lyrics by Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell) in both Tweed and Bancroft! In this hilarious and outlandish story, the lives of six teenagers from a Canadian chamber choir are cut short in a freak accident aboard a roller coaster.

1st Stage is delighted to announce our next season of brilliant and innovative performances. The Logan Festival of Solo Performances will run between July 28, 2022 and August 7, 2022. Specific shows and dates are to be announced!

The professional theatre company took ownership of the Marble Arts Centre (MAC) in Tweed, and signed a multi-year lease for the Bancroft Village Playhouse; both agreements were finalized in December.
