Sharon Playhouse, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Simpkins and Managing Director Justin Ball, proudly presents the Tony Award-winning musical Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, with performances July 21 through July 31 at Sharon Playhouse (49 Amenia Road). Opening Night is Thursday, July 21 at 7:00pm.

Paper Mill Playhouse opens its 2015-2016 season with the world premiere musical THE BANDSTAND. As previously announced, Tony Award nominee Laura Osnes (Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella, Bonnie and Clyde), Corey Cott (Newsies, Gigi) and Tony Award winner Beth Leavel (The Drowsy Chaperone, 42nd Street) star in the show, which runs through Sunday, November 8, 2015. Paper Mill Playhouse will open its 2015-2016 season with the world premiere musical The Bandstand. When I first moved to NY, I had two amazing roommates, Eric Christian (dancer, singer and actor extrordinaire) and Jennifer Stetor (now Stetor Eggars... see previous description!). Jen Stet (as we called her) was in 'The Will Rogers Follies', and Eric and I were sweating to the oldies in the Radio City Music Hall's Easter Show. One day, Jen posed the question to me, 'Why do audiences applaud? I mean think about it, human beings slapping their frontal appendages together to give praise...it's just weird.' She may not know it, but I have been fascinated by her query since that day.
