TriArts Sharon Playhouse, under the leadership of Alice Bemand Executive Director and John Simpkins Artistic Director, is pleased to announce the theater's 2013 Season Opener, the Tony Award-Winning MusicAl Monty Python's SPAMALOT, with performances June 26 through July 7.

The area premiere production of Monty Python's Spamalot is directed and choreographed by Jennifer Werner, the Associate Director of Broadway's The Book of Mormon. Eric Kang is music director.

Monty Python's Spamalot is an outrageous musical comedy lovingly ripped off from the 1975 film classic "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." With music and lyrics by the Grammy-Award winning team of Eric Idle and John Du Prez and book by Eric Idle, Spamalot tells the story of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table as they embark on their quest for the Holy Grail. Did we mention the bevy of beautiful show girls, flying cows, killer rabbits, taunting Frenchmen and show-stopping musical numbers?

Spamalot stars Broadway cast member Thomas Cannizzaro in the role of King Arthur. The company of 20 also features Bethany Fagan as Lady of the Lake, Jared Weiss as Sir Robin, Brandon Cordeiro as Sir Lancelot, Harrison Post as Patsy, Stephen Eckelmann as Sir Galahad, Mark Devey as Sir Bedevere, Kenny Francoeur Prince Herbert, along with Philip Colgan, Dan Coombs, Rosalee DeHuff, Garrett Hill, Kiley Hinkle,Jane Kivnick, Emily Neuberger, Jake Satterfield, George Slotin, Madeleine Sykes, Eric Brian Waters, and Kaylee Verble.

The design team includes Erik Diaz (Sets), Michelle Humphrey (Costumes), Chris Dallos (Lights), Brad Berridge (Sound). Thomas J. Coppola is production stage manager.

The show starred Tim Curry, Hank Azaria, David Hyde Pierce, Christopher Seiber, Michael McGrath, and Sara Ramirez. Spamalot won three Tony Awards -Best Musical, Featured Actress in a Musical - Sara Ramirez and Best Director of a Musical - Mike Nichols.

It is a professional theatre -- producing quality musicals with Broadway caliber talent. It is a place where musical theatre is celebrated and tomorrow's generation of actors and audiences is born.
