The funding will support the National Historic Landmark's operations, allowing the non-profit to continue its mission to welcome visitors from around the globe to the home of Samuel L. Clemens ('Mark Twain'), and serve the educational and cultural needs of the community.

The Lincoln Financial Foundation has awarded a $25,000 grant to The Mark Twain House & Museum to support the museum’s educational programs that serve Hartford students. These programs include its Free Visit Program, which allows Hartford schools to tour the museum and participate in its various interactive learning programs.

This family-friendly event features holiday music from The Burns Sisters streamed from the Hangar Theatre & Hangar artists performing a variety of both classic and contemporary short stories and poems.

This October, the Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize salutes Will Ferrell. The program airs Monday, October 31 at 9 p.m. ET on PBS stations nationwide. Taped at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on October 23, the 90-minute special features a star-studded cast of Ferrell's friends and colleagues including top entertainers Billie Joe Armstrong of the band Green Day, Ed Asner, Jack Black, Matthew Broderick, Gwen Ifill, Adam McKay, Tim Meadows, Conan O'Brien, John C. Reilly, Paul Rudd, Andy Samberg, Molly Shannon and Ben Stiller. The evening pays tribute to the humor and accomplishments of the television icon and motion picture star.
