The John W. Engeman Theater's production of The Music Man, running March 27 - May 18, tells the story of fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill and his plans to con the people of River City, Iowa. He sells them instruments and promises to train the townspeople to be a professional band. Hill, who doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef, plans to skip town with the money without giving any music lessions at all - until he falls in love with Marian the librarian. Securities and Exchange Commission Will Not Take Action Against REBECCA Producers; Still Coming to Broadway in Fall 2014?

According to the New York Times, the Securities and Exchange Commission will not take action against the producers of REBECCA. The new musical, which was originally scheduled to open on Broadway last fall, was cancelled after it was discovered that several of the show's investors never existed. A recent letter from the SEC to the producers' lawyers indicated that their 'investigation of the producing team was complete and no enforcement actions would be pursued.'

The naming dedications are: John Lennon Music & Technology Center, Charles Strouse School of Music, Jule Styne School of Theatre, Maury Yeston School of Education, Stewart F. Lane School of Business, Frank Loesser College Theater, Ervin Drake Popular Music Center, Stanley Cohen College Library, Barbara Siman Dance Center, Richard Hayman Graduate Library and the Nederlander Worldwide Production Center.
