San Francisco Opera Announces Casting Update For Gluck's ORPHEUS AND EURYDICE
San Francisco Opera announced a cast change for its upcoming new production of Christoph Willibald Gluck's Orpheus and Eurydice (Orfeo ed Euridice), opening November 15. Soprano Meigui Zhang will make her role debut as Eurydice, replacing Christina Gansch who is expecting her second child and has withdrawn from the production.

This summer season, the Grand Teton Music Festival (GTMF) is thrilled to offer two livestreamed concerts, led by Music Director Sir Donald Runnicles on August 20 and 27, 2022. On August 20, the Festival Orchestra gives the U.S. Premiere of living composer Detlev Glanert's homage to Brahms, Idyllium, and Ingrid Fliter performs Robert Schumann's popular Piano Concerto. Brahms' Symphony No. 1 closes this grand program.

The Webby Awards announced today that San Francisco Opera’s intimate video portrait series In Song, produced with Lumahai Productions, won the 2022 “Webby People’s Voice Award” for best music “Video Series & Channel.” In a competitive category of five nominees including NPR, Pitchfork and Soundcloud, In Song received the most online votes cast between April 5 and April 21 for “the Internet’s highest honor” (New York Times). In Song was also nominated for the 2022 Webby Award for best music “Video Series & Channel,” for which the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences selected In The Know x Complex: Making it.

Grand Teton Music Festival's 60th Season, which boasted 20 sold-out concerts and an audience of 16,000 people both in-person and online, marked a monumental season. Stages Theatre Festival Comes to Scotiabank Stage
The 26th annual Stages Theatre Festival will introduce Halifax audiences to many new and exciting scripts by playwrights from Atlantic Canada and beyond. Beginning May 28 from the comfort of the Scotiabank Stage, audiences will be offered the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of programming which will include new plays by local writers, musicals in various stages of development, and touring productions from outside the province. This year, STAGES will also offer Professional Development classes to local artists, as well as, two community events; "Singing with Parkinson's" and "Crossroads," a workshop for newly arrived immigrants to Halifax.
