Review: Holiday Classic WHITE CHRISTMAS Takes the Stage At Shaw Festival
Christmas traditions may come and go, but watching the film WHITE CHRISTMAS has always been an obligatory part of the holiday season for me. And for the past 20 years or so, audiences can experience Irving Berlin's classic live on stage. The Shaw Festival is presenting their joyous version this year on the Festival stage and the result is pure technicolor heaven.
A CHRISTMAS CAROL and WHITE CHRISTMAS Announced For The Shaw's Holiday Season Begins
Two timeless holiday tales, guaranteed to make spirits bright in young and old alike, begin previews at The Shaw. The Festival's holiday spirits, um spirit, will take over the Royal George Theatre on November 9 with the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol. Irving Berlin's White Christmas, his adored musical homage to romance and snow, follows merrily along on November 18 at the Festival Theatre.

New COVID-19 restrictions, along with the recent decision to continue the Niagara Region’s placement in the Grey-Lockdown Zone, has made it clear the Shaw Festival is unable to produce Gypsy: A Musical Fable in 2021.
November Dates of the Shaw Festival's Concert Series Now Available
As of October 28, the Shaw Festival's concert series will move indoors to the Jackie Maxwell Studio Theatre with a limit of 50 guests and safety protocols in place. Featuring the music of Duke Ellington, Dorothy Fields and Cole Porter, the performances run Wednesdays to Fridays at 6 p.m. and Saturdays at 2 p.m. from October 28 through November 20.
