BIO

Patrick Porter hails from Shreveport, Louisiana. After pursuing an education in law, he followed his heart and moved to NYC to train and work as an actor and singer. Patrick works out of NYC on stage and increasingly in Film/TV. He trained in the Musical Theatre (Integrated) program at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in NYC and at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London for Shakespeare Performance. His eclectic credits in NYC and Regional Theatre include Blood on the Dining Room Floor, The Secret Garden, Pig Tale (an urban faerie story),Edward The King, Ragtime, Irene, Man of La Mancha, Twelfth Night, 108 Waverly, Belles of the Mill, The Wilder Project, How to Marry a Millionaire, Voir Dire, Everyman, Whiskey Down, Cabaret, Cymbeline. On Monday, September 26, 2016, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 12 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2016 recipients at its annual awards ceremony, The IT Awards. Hosted by a crowd favorite, Jason Kravits and directed by award winning director and sound designer, DeLisa White the ceremony took place from 7pm to 10pm at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College.

Doric Wilson's The West Street Gang at the Eagle NYC

Wilson's play, originally produced at The Spike, was written three years before the Ramrod leather bar massacre in November 1980, in which a man armed with a machine gun shot eight people, killing two. It is a dark, comic look at the bar's patrons and their attempts to defend it from both physical attacks as well as political attempts to close it.

It is directed by Sidney J. Burgoyne and runs at the TBG Arts Center, 312 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor through May 24th.
