On September 26th, 2008 the White Plains Performing Arts Center held their opening night party for their current production of Camelot starring Robert Cuccioli. This is a brand new production of the Tony Award-winning musical that will play a limited engagement through October 5, 2008.

Camelot is directed by Sidney J. Burgoyne. Music Director: James Bassi; Set design: Michael Hotopp; Costume Design: T. Michael Hall; Lighting: Thom Weaver; Production Stage Manager: B.J. Forman. WPPAC calls this show a Spotlight Musical because it is a concentrated and simplified look at the essence of the musical, plays a limited number of performances, and is not part of the theatre’s subscription series.

Also starring are Juli Robbins as Guenevere and Gregg Goodbrod as Lancelot. Others in the cast include Mark Aldrich (Sir Dinadan), Diana Rose Becker (Lady Anne), Ronald L. Brown (Merlyn/Pellinore), Kerry Conte (Lady Catherine), Saum Eskandani (Mordred), Keithon Gipson (Sir Lionel), Patrick O. Henney (Tom), Leah Jennings (Lady Sybill), Billy Piscopo (Dap), Rachel A. Rincione (Nimue), Kevin Vortmann (Sir Gwilliam), Michael Zegarski (Sir Sagramore).

Tickets are $50.00/$42.50.  Season subscriptions for the Broadway Classics series and gift certificates are also available. This season’s Broadway Classics are Oliver! directed by Luke Yankee (November 20 – December 14, 2008), A Little Night Music directed by Sidney J. Burgoyne (March 5 -22, 2009) and Hello Dolly! directed by Jack W. Batman (April 30 – May 17, 2009). White Plains Performing Arts Center is located on the third level of City Center at the corner of Main and Mamaroneck in downtown White Plains, just 30 minutes from midtown Manhattan, and there is plenty of convenient parking. For tickets please call 914.328.1600 or buy them online at www.wppac.com.

White Plains Performing Arts Center brings innovative and eclectic entertainment and classic Broadway musicals to appreciative audiences who live throughout the county and beyond. It is Westchester’s only professional regional theatre. Now in its second season under the direction of Executive Producer Jack W. Batman, the 410-seat, $6 million theatre also hosts local, national and international performing artists whose work reflects Westchester’s diverse population. The 2008-2009 Season is sponsored by the Louis R. Cappelli Foundation and made possible, in part, by grants from the City of White Plains, major corporations, government and private foundations and individual donors.
