Melissa Peterman, currently on CBS #1 Comedy Young Sheldon and the executive producer and host of the game show Person, Place or Thing for FOX First Run, returns to host the 11th Annual Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild (MUAHS, IATSE Local 706) Awards, presented by Ardell, bringing her humor and talent to the star-studded event.

The Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild (IATSE Local 706) announced winners of its 10th Annual Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Awards, presented by Dyson and HASK Beauty, in 23 categories of film, television, commercials, and live theater. The gala was held on Saturday night, February 11, 2023, before a live audience at The Beverly Hilton. It was also live-streamed to an audience of millions worldwide.

Freestyle Digital Media, the digital film distribution division of Byron Allen's Entertainment Studios, has acquired U.S. rights to the farcical comedy, DIVOS!.

RUTHLESS! THE MUSICAL originally opened Off-Broadway in 1992, created as an over-the-top dark comedy spoof of the films The Bad Seed and All About Eve, and well-known Broadway musicals Gypsy and Annie. Similar to the dark comedy in musicals such as Little Shop of Horrors and Sweeney Todd where characters are murdered and then eaten, RUTHLESS! THE MUSICAL centers on 8-year old Tina Denmark, who knows she was born to play the lead in her school's third grade show and will do anything to win the part. And I do mean anything. Now onstage at Theatre Palisades, directed by Alta Abbott who first fell in love with the show during its 1993 West Coast premiere at the Canon Theatre in Beverly Hills, I can only say that the over-the-top production sometimes seemed so dark that the comedy became invisible.

Theatre Palisades brings some fun to the upcoming holiday season by presenting 'Ruthless! The Musical' a hilarious musical comedy spoof with book and lyrics by Joel Paley and music by Marvin Laird. Opening Friday November 1, through Sunday December 8, 2019 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 P.M. and Sundays at 2:00 P.M. at the Pierson Playhouse, located at 941 Temescal Canyon Dr. (just south of Sunset Blvd.) in Pacific Palisades 90272.

Synopsis: At Surprise Enterprise, Genie Burns masterminds off the wall surprise parties in nobody-would-suspect-it locations. Here, she takes crazy risks but in her personal life, she plays it safe. Her hilarious partner Steven is gay: that makes him safe. Danny, her perfect match, is kept in the friend zone. Safe again. Along comes Jeff. His depth and charm draw her in. They slip into a passionate love where she loses all control. 

Kids can get ready for the new school year and learn lessons about friendship and following your dreams with Nickelodeon's Middle School Moguls, premiering Sunday, Sept. 8, at 11 a.m. (ET/PT). The four half-hour, CG-animated specials chronicle the ambitions of four new friends striving to create their own companies while attending Mogul Academy, an entrepreneurial school where kid-business dreams come true. Middle School Moguls will continue to air every Sunday in September at 11 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.

Some shows in the Christmas theatre canon are taken from classic stories such as A Christmas Carol, while others perhaps form a more original holiday tale. And then there are the special few that can only be described as "cult-classic." In A Christmas Story, we once again meet little Ralphie and his family as he hopes for a Red Ryder Carbine Action BB Gun from Santa - or at least his parents. From the infamous scene at the flag pole to the leg-lamp in the window for all the neighbors to see, this current production at BDT Stage has it all for those wishing to live out a live version of their favorite Christmas movie.
