The cast has been set for A TASTE OF HONEY by Shelagh Delaney and directed by Emma Baggott  at Royal Exchange. Performances run 15 March – 13 April.

BWW Review: SOPHIA, Sound Stage


Sophia tells the story of Sophia Jex-Blake, a formidable woman who battled for a woman's right to a medical education and license and who went on to become the first practising female doctor in Scotland. In 1869 Blake applied for admission to the Medical Faculty of the University of Edinburgh, only for her application to be rejected on the grounds that the University could not make the necessary arrangements 'in the interest of one lady'. Poet’s inspiring new play tells the story of Blake’s campaign and the struggles for her and her fellow women to secure the right to a medical education.

Storyhouse Announces A CHRISTMAS CAROL Cast


The cast for Storyhouse’s A Christmas Carol has been unveiled. The cast have commenced online rehearsals using Zoom, and will then move on to socially-distanced rehearsals on the Storyhouse thrust stage. A Christmas Carol opens on Saturday 7 November.

Casting for Regent Park Open Air Theatre's production of To Kill A Mockingbird was announced today. Daniel Betts will play Atticus Finch alongside Zackary Momoh as Tom Robinson, Christopher Akrill as Boo Radley. Original cast member and composer Phil King will reprise his role.
