BIO
Michael Thanh Tran (he/him) is an actor, director, and producer based in New York City. Regionally, he has performed with The Muny, the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, the St. Louis Shakespeare Festival, Metro Theatre Company, and Peterborough Players (Outstanding Supporting Actor Nomination by the NH Theatre Alliance). His body of work also includes national advertising campaigns for brands like Logitech G and Edward Jones Financials. He is a recent graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Acting Program, chaired by award-winning director Carl Cofield. He is a receipt of the Tisch Scholarship and has trained with an esteemed roster of faculty, including Brandon J. Dirden, Janet Zarish, and world-renowned guest artists across stage, screen, and movement disciplines. He is a member of the 3rd Theatre Producers of Color cohort, where he was mentored by Sammy Lopez and Miranda Gohh. Michael received an Intimacy Captain Certificate from Ann C. James / Intimacy Coordinators of Color (2022). He is represented by Jonathan Rakower, Jessica Rosenthal, and Lexy Alverez of Framework Entertainment NY + LA. He resides in Brooklyn, NY.
