The Valley Villagers Choir had to stop rehearsing and performing together when the Covid pandemic hit. But that hasn't stopped their leaders from getting people to keep singing. Founders Eric Andrist and Jeff Rizzo created a 'virtual' division for the choir and recently released their second virtual choir video, this time for Grandparent's Day.

They also rotate the finest pianist/accompanists in LA because, hey, they're classy galsa??

Los Angeles singer, MaryJo Mundy will bring her one-woman show entitled 'Nearly Nyro' to the Arthur Newman Theater in Palm Desert on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at 2 PM. The show is based on the music and life of singer and songwriter Laura Nyro and will feature a full band directed by Ross Kalling along with MaryJo's back up singers. Tickets are $15 cash at the box office that opens at 1 PM. The Arthur Newman Theater is located at 73750 Catalina Way in the Joslyn Center in Palm Desert.

Susan Anton, Barrett Foa, Loretta Devine, Allison Janney and Andrea Marcovicci are among the galaxy of Broadway, Film, and Television stars lending their talents to the 32nd annual Southland Theatre Artists Goodwill Event (STAGE), Sondheim No. 5, with two performances on Saturday, June 18th at the beautiful Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills.  David Galligan directs with Michael Orland as Music Director.  Performances will be at 2:00pm and 8:00pm.

This Monday, February 15 (mostly)musicals returns to the E Spot Lounge to present NEVER GROW UP, an evening of songs about childhood and children. For their 16th edition, LA's popular themed cabaret series (mostly)musicals wants to put you in touch with your inner child.

Following a several month absence from the LA scene, (mostly)musicals will make its long-awaited return on Monday, July 6 at the E Spot Lounge with The Heat Is ON! This will be the company's 12th production in a series of themed cabarets. 'We are so excited to be returning to the LA calendar, and to be back in Studio City in the beautiful new E Spot Lounge,' explains producer amy francis schott.

This past Wednesday and Thursday, host Jim Caruso and musical director Billy Stritch oversaw another Hollywood edition of Cast Party, the wildly successful open mic night, which tours the country celebrating local talent. The event, made up of impromptu musical performances, has been running every Monday at Birdland in New York City for the past eight years.
