(mostly)musicals to Present NEVER GROW UP at E Spot Lounge This Monday
This Monday, February 15 (mostly)musicals returns to the E Spot Lounge to present NEVER GROW UP, an evening of songs about childhood and children. For their 16th edition, LA's popular themed cabaret series (mostly)musicals wants to put you in touch with your inner child.
You'll feel like a kid in a candy store with an evening of songs from (mostly) musicals including THE SECRET GARDEN, ANNIE, WORKING, HENRY & MUDGE, YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN, BYE BYE BIRDIE, CHESS, and more!
To perform these songs, producer amy francis schott has enrolled an array of talent meant to be seen AND heard, including (mostly)musicals favorites Tony nominee Sharon McNight (B'way: STARMITES), Emily Clark (SLIGHTLY DRAMATIC), Eric B. Anthony (B'way: LION KING, MARY POPPINS), Alli Miller (Cherry Poppins), Amanda Kruger (Everly Snodgrass), Cassandra Nuss (DOMA's AMERICAN IDIOT), Walter Winston O'Neil (B'way: WICKED), MaryJo Mundy, Ernest Williams, and Molly Gilman (PILLARS OF NEW YORK). NEVER GROW UP will also feature first time appearances from Derek Carley (THE DODGERS), Jotapé Lockwood (ADAM & EVE & STEVE), Travis Leland (Cabrillo's DAMN YANKEES), and recording artist Kaitlin Huwe, plus special guest Cody Clark with a performance from The Unknown Artists' upcoming LA premiere of Ryan Scott Oliver's 35MM.
Heading the class will be whiz kid music director Gregory Nabours. And for anyone who wants to show and tell... sign up starts at 7:15 for the open mic afterparty, hosted by Mark Jacobson, immediately following the show!
Reserved seats are available in advance at www.espotlounge.com. Doors open at 6:30pm for dinner and drinks. Tickets are $15 with a 2 item minimum.
