Mark Ryan Anderson Biography
Mark Ryan Anderson is a critically acclaimed actor, singer, writer, and space enthusiast. He resides in New York City.He was born in rural southern Bethalto, Illinois, just east of St. Louis and its Mississippi River. He was raised by his mother and step-father with exceptional values, discipline, and indescribable compassion... love.
For most of his childhood, he was was very imaginative, dreaming grand visions, drawing on all surfaces, and stretching his thumbs for many hours at his video game consoles (to this day, he can still whup anyone in a game of Ken Griffey Jr. Presents: Major League Baseball on the SNES!). With his parents' direction, he did however, perform in nearly every sport and extracurricular activity possible. He's swung at baseballs since the age of five, ran in track, wrestled, and volleyed at tennis; played music from the drum set, alto and soprano saxophones, guitar, harmonica, piano, and the voice in its many genres.
Throughout his education, Mark Ryan retained his rich internal landscape, causing him to bounce from varying potential courses of study. At high school, he made his foray into radio hosting, school politics, working as editor of the school paper, speech and debate, and working for the conservation club. He inevitably decided to study performance on the stage, and graduated from Western Illinois University with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre, Spring of 2013. This variety would become the foundation for the rest of his life, teaching one of the best lessons of all: that one must continue learning and creating in true harmony with Warrior's Ethos.

'Cabaret,' the 1966 Broadway hit that made Joel Grey a star, is alive and well at The Gateway Playhouse in Bellport. With a shocking book by Joe Masteroff and a tuneful score by 'Chicago's' John Kander and the late Fred Ebb, 'Cabaret' was alarming when it first premiered and gained momentum in recent years with three major revivals on Broadway. The Gateway's effervescent cast, lead by upcoming Broadway star Josh Canfield, makes this 'Cabaret' an old chum to revisit.
