Improv Returns to Times Square with New York Improv Theater’s Opening Weekend at Comedy Village

The New York Improv Theater kicks off its opening weekend with a new series of shows at Comedy Village, now located at 352 West 44th Street—just steps from the Majestic Theatre in Times Square. Performances begin nightly at 7 p.m., featuring a rotating lineup of one to four improv teams, delivering a mix of short form, long form, musical comedy, and improvised murder mystery.

While current times have driven performers off the live stage, onto online platforms, the 'NEW NORMAL' also gives us a unique chance to bring together talented performers separated by time and distance. The cast of EIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH Improv is bringing back together players, many fan favorites from past and present, that helped put the company on the map. Everyone on the show were part of the troupe in 2010 or before.

You can now bring the entire family to 3pm shows Saturdays and/or Sundays for less than the cost of one Broadway Show ticket. The 2013 NYC Cabaret Festival - to be held September 21 through October 6, 2013, on three stages (Broadway Cafe, The Red Room, and Broadway Comedy Club Main Stage) - will have a series of shows, workshops and performance opportunities just for Kids and Teens and Families. Tickets for the shows and workshops run $15 at the door and just $10 in advance online (Ovationtix 866-811-4111). Some shows require a beverage purchase. No additional purchase required for classes and workshop productions.
