FULL CASTING ANNOUNCED FOR WISE CHILDREN’S NEW CO-PRODUCTION OF BLUE BEARD - WRITTEN AND DIRECTED BY EMMA RICE. The full cast for the world premiere of Blue Beard, written and directed by Emma Rice, includes Isabel Adomakoh Young, Stu Barker, Mirabelle Gremaud, Stephanie Hockley, Patrycja Kujawska, Adam Mirsky, Katy Owen, and Tristan Sturrock. The production opens at Theatre Royal Bath on 8 February and embarks on a UK tour.

An inventive, funny and heart-warming production of Charles Dicken's semi-autobiographical novel, David Copperfield will play at the Riverside Studios from 7 – 26 February, with a press night on 9 February.

The co-production with the National Theatre, Bristol Old Vic and York Theatre Royal, in association with Berkeley Repertory Theater, makes its US première at St Ann's Warehouse, New York, on 14 October, before touring to Berkeley Repertory Theater, the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts and Chicago Shakespeare Theater, with more dates to be announced.

Wise Children today announce that Liam Tamne joins the company as Heathcliff for the world première production of Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights on 15 March, completing the run at the National ahead of the UK tour. “I am Heathcliff – he’s always, always in my mind.” Wise Children’s latest production – an ambitious adaptation of Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights – has finally made its way to the National Theatre, following COVID delays and a rearranged tour, starting at the Bristol Old Vic last year. Catherine and Heathcliff will make themselves at home in the Lyttelton Theatre for the next few weeks before heading back out on the road.

Emma Rice's new version of Wuthering Heights plays in the Lyttelton theatre with performances from Thursday 3 February until Saturday 19 March. It's hard to believe that it's been four years since Emma Rice made her debut at Shakespeare's Globe, beginning her brief tenure as artistic director with the Wonders season and her own production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. As a Shakespeare fan (I was one of those rare beings: someone who actually enjoyed studying his plays at school), I'd been meaning to go to the Globe for some time but had never quite got round to it a?' and I'd never seen anything by Emma Rice before. Charles Hazlewood, co-conceiver of Kneehigh's Ubu! A Singalong Satire, has created scores for many iconic Kneehigh shows, including Dead Dog in a Suitcase (and other love songs) and The Tin Drum. He has also founded the world's first large-scale professional ensemble of virtuoso musicians with disabilities, The British Paraorchestra, and conducted many of the world's other greatest orchestras.

Full tour dates are announced for Kneehigh's phantasmagorical and savagely funny Ubu! A Singalong Satire. As previously announced, the show will play at London's Shoreditch Town Hall in December as the perfect alternative Christmas show. It will then embark on a mini UK tour; travelling to Bristol Marble Factory, The Lowry, Salford and Leeds Playhouse.
