BIO
Johanna has been the librettist (and occasional lyricist) on several projects through the Los Angeles New Musical Theatre organization and is currently the librettist for LITTLE DID I KNOW - featuring music by Doug Besterman and lyrics by Dean Pitchford; and BUENAVENTURA - featuring music and lyrics by Edith Kuhnle.
Johanna also recently began development on an immersive musical dance play entitled MARY, about author Mary Shelley, and her creative circle. She is co-creator, librettist, and lyricist on this project, working with choreographer Michelle Elkin, Pacific Resident's Theatre actor Marwa Bernstein, and composer Giorgio Bertuccelli. This project is slated for its first developmental presentation in October 2016.
A graduate of the UCLA Department of English Language and Literature, Johanna received her PhD in 2003.

The Audio Drama Initiative today announced that the cast and creators of the new podcast musical LITTLE DID I KNOW, the first Broadway-level podcast musical, will present a special interactive 'improvised jam session' on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at 5pm EST, 2pm PST, and 10pm BST.
