Those of us too young to have identified with the Rat Pack of the 50's and 60's, a group of Hollywood A-listers including Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop, can easily resonate with the themes of the 1980's teen-oriented coming of age films whose soundtrack defined the era. Excellently crafted and superbly performed, this all-new production-built specifically for Feinstein's at the Nikko by the original creative team, crackles with energy and timeless emotional catharsis.

Back in the J.F.K.'s Camelot days, there was a gang of glitzy friends who starred together on stage & screen and hung out at all the cool places around Hollywood and Vegas. They called themselves the 'Rat Pack,' a cheeky name that smacked of bad-boy clubbiness. Smoking and drinking while on stage, the four clever pals swapped comments about men being men, women being broads and booze being a whole lot of fun. Ah, the good old days!

At age 88, Regis Philbin has had one of the most successful and long careers as a game-and-talk-show host who, after graduating from his beloved University of Notre Dame and a stint in the Navy, began his television career as an announcer on 'The Tonight Show,' a talk-show in San Diego and in 1967 as Joey Bishop's sidekick on 'The Joey Bishop Show.' Regis worked nonstop from coast to coast including Los Angeles, St Louis and New York as America's favorite conversationalist until he retired from 'Live! With Regis and Kelly' in 2011. He has resided on the East Coast for decades close to the New York television studios, but has recently put his Connecticut home on the market so that he and wife, Joy, can move to California to be closer to their children. The mansion is priced at $4.595 million, 36% less than what he paid for it almost a decade ago.

Even if you never got to see them, it's a good bet that you know the Rat Pack - Sinatra, Davis, Martin and Bishop - well. This is because, in a world where we lionize the mundane and everyone is a star, these guys were truly iconic, emblematic of Las Vegas. Their spirit lives on today in Sandy Hackett's Rat Pack Show at the Riviera Hotel on the Strip.
