Created by George Kay (“Lupin,” “Criminal”) and Jim Field Smith (“Criminal,” “Truth Seekers”), who also wrote and lead directed the series respectively, the seven-part series also stars Emmy Award and NAACP Image Award-winner Archie Panjabi (“The Good Wife,” “Snowpiercer,” “Blindspot”). The series is written by George Kay (“Lupin,” “Criminal”) and will be directed by Jim Field Smith (“Criminal,” “The Wrong Mans”), who will both also serve as executive producers alongside Elba, Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta and Kris Thykier. “Hijack” will be produced by 60Forty Films and Idiotlamp Productions in association with Green Door.

Kenny Wax Family Entertainment's hit musical production of Oi Frog & Friends! which is currently touring the UK, following its critically acclaimed West End run in 2019/20, will play artsdepot in North Finchley, London, from Tuesday 12 – Saturday 16 April 2022.

The Belgrade Theatre has announced details of the first shows in its Spring Season from March to July 2022. Featuring The Bone Sparrow as part of their Coventry UK City of Culture 2021 programme, an adaptation of George Orwell's classic satirical story Animal Farm, and the world premiere of Fighting Irish, co-directed by the Belgrade's Artistic Director, Hamish Glen, and Co-Artistic Director for 2021, Corey Campbell, from Coventry writer Jamie McGough.

With the critically acclaimed Captain Corelli's Mandolin currently running, Rose Theatre Kingston today announce Out of the Dark, a debut play written by Suzy Gill. Fay Lomas, winner of the 2019 Peter Hall Emerging Artist Fellowship, an annual award introduced to commemorate the legacy of Sir Peter Hall, directs. Out of the Dark opens at the Rose Studio on Wednesday 30 October and runs until Saturday 2 November 2019.

Criminal is a police procedural with a unique premise: it takes place exclusively within the confines of a police interview suite. This stripped down, cat-and-mouse drama will focus on the intense mental conflict between the police officer and the suspect in question.

J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), BBC Studios' Angie Stephenson and Bad Robot's Ben Stephenson also serve as executive producers. Amazon Original Series THE ROMANOFFS, created, written, directed and executive produced by nine-time Emmy award winner Matthew Weiner (Mad Men), and co-produced with Weinstein Television, has set additional guest actors slated to join the series, including Corey Stoll, Andrew Rannells and Mike Doyle.

Candice Bergen will return to television following an almost 20 year absence, to star as the title character in the ABC comedy pilot PEARL.
