Bestselling author, comedian, actor and screenwriter David Baddiel is set to join the line-up at this month’s WayWord Festival for Kids.

The full cast and further creative team have been revealed for the world premiere tour of Sarah Punshon's adaptation of Rachel Bright and Jim Field's best-selling children's book, The Lion Inside, with original music and lyrics by Eamonn O'Dwyer.

Created by George Kay (“Lupin,” “Criminal”) and Jim Field Smith (“Criminal,” “Truth Seekers”), who also wrote and lead directed the series respectively, the seven-part series also stars Emmy Award and NAACP Image Award-winner Archie Panjabi (“The Good Wife,” “Snowpiercer,” “Blindspot”). The series is written by George Kay (“Lupin,” “Criminal”) and will be directed by Jim Field Smith (“Criminal,” “The Wrong Mans”), who will both also serve as executive producers alongside Elba, Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta and Kris Thykier. “Hijack” will be produced by 60Forty Films and Idiotlamp Productions in association with Green Door.

Kenny Wax Family Entertainment's hit musical production of Oi Frog & Friends! which is currently touring the UK, following its critically acclaimed West End run in 2019/20, will play artsdepot in North Finchley, London, from Tuesday 12 – Saturday 16 April 2022. 

This season, the Belgrade Theatre hosts a fantastic range of shows for children of all ages. The Belgrade Theatre has announced details of the first shows in its Spring Season from March to July 2022. Featuring The Bone Sparrow as part of their Coventry UK City of Culture 2021 programme, an adaptation of George Orwell's classic satirical story Animal Farm, and the world premiere of Fighting Irish, co-directed by the Belgrade's Artistic Director, Hamish Glen, and Co-Artistic Director for 2021, Corey Campbell, from Coventry writer Jamie McGough.

Amazon Prime Video announced today that the spine-tingling Amazon Original series Truth Seekers will premiere Friday, October 30.

With the critically acclaimed Captain Corelli's Mandolin currently running, Rose Theatre Kingston today announce Out of the Dark, a debut play written by Suzy Gill. Fay Lomas, winner of the 2019 Peter Hall Emerging Artist Fellowship, an annual award introduced to commemorate the legacy of Sir Peter Hall, directs. Out of the Dark opens at the Rose Studio on Wednesday 30 October and runs until Saturday 2 November 2019.

Criminal is a police procedural with a unique premise: it takes place exclusively within the confines of a police interview suite. This stripped down, cat-and-mouse drama will focus on the intense mental conflict between the police officer and the suspect in question.

SHOWTIME has announced the casting of Jillian Bell (22 Jump Street) in a lead role of the half-hour comedy pilot THE WRONG MANS, also starring and produced by Ben Schwartz (HOUSE OF LIES) and written and executive produced by James Corden (The Late Late Show with James Corden), Mathew Baynton (Yonderland) and Ian Maxtone-Graham (The Simpsons). J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), BBC Studios' Angie Stephenson and Bad Robot's Ben Stephenson also serve as executive producers. Jim Field Smith (EPISODES) is also executive producing and directing the pilot, which is based on the BBC series created by Corden and Baynton. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine, President of Programming, Showtime Networks Inc.
