The Producers Guild of America (PGA) hosted the 34th Annual Producers Guild Awards on Saturday, February 25th at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The evening recognized influential film producers and entertainment icons with special honors including Tom Cruise with the David O. Selznick Achievement Award in Theatrical Motion Pictures; Mindy Kaling with the Norman Lear Achievement Award in Television; Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy with the Milestone Award; and “Till” with the Stanley Kramer Award.

Actress Marlene Forte is reprising her role as Judge Teresa Medina on Season 2 of Netflix's Lincoln Lawyer.

Apple TV+ released the trailer for the second season of its hit bilingual comedy “Acapulco.” The Spanish and English-language series, which currently holds a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes, stars an acclaimed, international cast led by Eugenio Derbez. Apple announced the premiere date for “Echo 3,” the 10-episode action-thriller created by Academy Award-winner Mark Boal (“The Hurt Locker,” “Zero Dark Thirty”), and starring Luke Evans and Michiel Huisman alongside Jessica Ann Collins. Filmed in Colombia with English and Spanish dialogue, the Apple Original series produced by Keshet Studios.

Season two picks up on the heels of season one, telling the story of twenty-something Máximo Gallardo, whose dream comes true when he scores the job of a lifetime as a cabana boy at a hot resort in Acapulco, Las Colinas. Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the complete cast for the world premiere of You Will Get Sick, a new play by Noah Diaz directed by Tony Award nominee Sam Pinkleton. The cast includes Marinda Anderson, Daniel K. Isaac, Linda Lavin, Nate Miller, and Dario Ladani Sanchez all of whom are making their Roundabout Theatre Company debuts.

The series will feature an entirely Hispanic cast and crew, led by Ariel Award nominee Bárbara Mori (“La Negociadora,” “El Complot Mongol,” “La Mujer De Mi Hermano”) as María, a devoted wife who discovers her true calling when she joins Mexico’s first female police force, and her entire belief system comes crashing down.

The hard-working valet Antonio (Eugenio Derbez) accidentally appears in the same photo and is enlisted to pose as Olivia’s new boyfriend as a cover up.

Vendôme Pictures and Pathé Films has announced they are partnering with Tony Award-winning Deaf West Theatre (DJ Kurs, Artistic Director) to develop the stage musical adaptation of the Academy Award-nominated, smash hit film CODA. The film also made history being the first predominantly deaf cast to win the coveted ensemble prize at the SAG Awards.

Apple Original Films today announced that audience favorite “CODA” will be re-released in theaters for a limited theatrical run following its history-making Academy Award nominations, including a nomination for Best Picture. The film's star, Troy Kotsur, is the first Deaf male actor to ever be nominated for an Oscar.

The Oscar-Qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival is proving animation is the future when it comes to entertainment. The 17th edition, happening from September 23-October 1, 2021 at TCL Chinese 6 Theatres, unveiled its stacked selections of animated short films including the world premiere of basketball superstar Shaquille O'Neal's HeadNoise.

Inspired by the hit film 'How to Be a Latin Lover', the ensemble cast starring alongside Derbez includes Enrique Arrizon, Fernando Carsa, Damián Alcázar, Camila Perez, Chord Overstreet, and Vanessa Bauche.
