CASA 0101 Theater will present the World Premiere Play, CORINA:  FROM LAP DANCE TO SUNDANCE written by Corina Calderon, directed by Emmanuel Deleage, starring Corina Calderon in the title role, a story about her real life.

CASA 0101 Theater will perform the World Premiere production of Founding Artistic Director, JOSEFINA LOPEZ’S QUEEN OF THE RUMBA, A Play With Dance, directed by Corky Dominguez starring actresses, Paloma Morales (as Alicia Parlá) and Angel Juarez (Young Alicia Parlá), in the titular character of the play.

CASA 0101 Theater presents ARTHUR MILLER’S 1949 Pulitzer Prize-winning play, DEATH OF A SALESMAN. “a tragedy of a common man,” under the direction of CORKY DOMINGUEZ, starring Vance Valencia, Christine Avila, Eddie Diaz, Adam Hollick, Jack Bernaz and Daniel E. Mora, and featuring Jared Trevino, Leah Verrill, Jeff Blumberg, Chloe Diaz, Gor Leo Babkhanyan, Kriss Dozal and Mariana Campos.

The SB1116 California Coalition, whose efforts led to the passage and signing of California's Equitable Payroll Fund, was honored with two major awards in April: The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle named the coalition winner of the 2023 Gordon Davidson Award for distinguished contribution to the Los Angeles theatrical community, while Stage Raw bestowed its prestigious 'Queen of the Angels' award upon the group.

Now Playing through May 15, 2022, CASA 0101 Theater is the World Premiere of MASAO AND THE BRONZE NIGHTINGALE, written by Dan Kwong and Rubén Funkahuatl Guevara, based on a short story written by Rubén Funkahuatl Guevara, directed by Dan Kwong and starring Michael Sasaki as Masao Imoto and Angela Oliver as Charlene Williams, The Bronze Nightingale.

Artists throughout the state of California are uniting for the passage of Senate Bill 805 (SB 805), titled, “The Performing Arts Relief Act,” which the Senate Labor Committee will vote on Wednesday, April 19, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in Sacramento, CA.   A Coalition of 36 small 99-seat non-profit theaters and freelance performers are banding together to make theater accessible to all.  

In celebration of Black History in America, The Jean Deleage Art Gallery at CASA 0101 Theater, Emmanuel Deleage, Executive Director, and Jimmy Centeno, Art Exhibit Curator, present “CAPTURING BEAUTY:  The Artwork and Photography of JOHN SIMMONS,” A Free Online Virtual Guided Tour by two-time Emmy Award-winning Cinematographer, John Simmons, of his multi-layered paper collage cartographies and his black and white photography images, representing a full spectrum of life, circa 1965 – 2021. 

IT'S A HIT! CASA 0101 Theater and Tía Chucha's Centro Cultural & Bookstore will extend their World Premiere production of the new play, ALWAYS RUNNING, based on the groundbreaking award-winning memoir written by Los Angeles Poet Laureate Luis J. Rodríguez, adapted for the stage by Luis J. Rodríguez and Hector Rodriguez, directed by Hector Rodriguez, starring Rufino Romero as Luis J. Rodríguez, leading a cast of 16 rotating actors playing 32 roles.

CASA 0101 Theater and Tía Chucha's Centro Cultural & Bookstore will present the World Premiere of ALWAYS RUNNING, based on the groundbreaking memoir written by Luis J. Rodriguez, adapted for the stage by Luis J. Rodriguez and Hector Rodriguez, directed by Hector Rodriguez, starring Rufino Romero as Luis J. Rodriguez, leading a cast of 11 actors playing 31 roles.  The play will be presented for a Six-Week Run on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 5:00 p.m. at CASA 0101 Theater, 2102 East First Street (at St. Louis Street), Boyle Heights, CA  90033, August 31 a?" October 20, 2019.  Opening Night is Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 8:00 p.m.  Discounted Previews will be presented on Thursday and Friday, August 29 and 30, 2019 at 8:00 p.m.  Special Saturday Matinees will be given on September 7, 14 and 21, 2019 at 3:00 p.m.  There will be no performances September 27, 28 and 29, 2019.
