Dereck Atwater Biography
Dereck Atwater is an actor, singer, dancer, voice-over artist, and choreographer born and raised in Maryland. He was introduced to the performing arts at a young age alongside his sister. Little did he know, this would begin his journey as an artist. In third grade, he was enrolled in The Baltimore Actors’ Theatre Conservatory where he discovered an appreciation, understanding, and love for performing. This would lead him to Nazareth College, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre and Dance in 2022. Dereck is most interested in exploring and crafting what it means to be an honest, authentic, and truthful artist and how he can best bring that to every phase of his profession. Being a truthful artist is incredibly important and we cannot expect to be able to bring a character to life if we are not honest about who we are.Dereck Atwater News
