Following a very successful production of Plenty of Heart, Plenty of Hope at The Wallis, MUSE/IQUE is presenting Freedom at The Moulin Rouge: A Las Vegas Civil Rights Story at The Huntington August 27th and 28th, and at the Skirball Cultural Center September 4th and 5th. MUSE/IQUE’s artistic director Rachael Worby will direct guest vocalists: Kenton Chen, LaVance Colley, Ashley Faatoalia, Jabu Graybeal and Crystal Starr. Crystal found some time to answer a few of my queries.

Theater Resources Unlimited has announced that the second play in the TRU Voices Series, Golden Wings by Coolidge Harris II, will star Tony winner Lillias White and Scotch Ellis Loring on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at 3pm. Experience today's 4th of July at the California African American Museum (CAAM) with live performances and a unique art workshop, followed by Exposition Park's annual fireworks display. In celebration of America's birthday, Target Sundays at CAAM has been moved to today, July 4th for this special holiday event. The Museum galleries will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the outdoor live performances start at 6 p.m. for today's July 4th program Gleaming at Twilight. CAAM will provide guests first priority for a seat on CAAM's lawn to view Exposition Park's annual fireworks display.

American Pop Anthology, in association with Scott Prisand (Broadway's Rock of Ages), announced that they will present the new musical production BOY FROM NEW YORK CITY written and directed by Tony Award-nominee Floyd Mutrux (Broadway's Million Dollar Quartet and Baby It's You!) and choreographed by Birgitte Mutrux (Broadway's Baby It's You!). Performances begin tonight, September 20, 2012 for an eight-week run at The Coast Playhouse (8325 Santa Monica Boulevard) in West Hollywood.

Big Daddy Cool and Company Bring Their Swingin' Show to Gallatin's Palace Theatre
