Review: WICKED at Kansas City Music Hall
by Alan Portner - Aug 17, 2026
Musical theater reviewers infrequently and pleasantly rediscover an old friend. “Wicked,” just opened at the venerable, 2400 seat Kansas City Music Hall with a recently refreshed cast, is an entertaining example.

Review: WICKED at Orpheum Theatre Minneapolis
by Jared Fessler - Jul 10, 2026
Some musicals become popular because of a great score. Others last because they tell a story that audiences continue to connect with long after the curtain falls. Wicked has managed to do both. The National Tour’s stop at Minneapolis’ Orpheum Theatre, running through August 9, proves that the story of Elphaba and Glinda still has plenty of power, humor, and heart.

Interview: Aline Mayagoitia of WICKED at Orpheum Theatre Minneapolis
by Jared Fessler - Jul 2, 2026
For Aline Mayagoitia, taking on the role of Elphaba in the national tour of Wicked represents both the greatest challenge of her career and the culmination of years of growth as a performer. A veteran of the Twin Cities stage, Mayagoitia previously appeared in In the Heights at the Ordway in 2017 and returned with the national tour of SIX in 2022.
