Raymond Rodriguez has announced Christopher Marney as the new Head of Studio Company and Trainees at the Academy. Marney begins his new role on November 3, 2021, just eight weeks after the Joffrey Academy of Dance opened its new “Joffrey for All” studio space and training facilities at 1920 South Wabash Avenue.

Ballet Central, the renowned graduate performing company, has created a unique performance by the company's dancers who are back at home across the UK and in countries worldwide following the coronavirus pandemic lockdown.  Centrally Connected Performs, a new choreographic project realised in a three minute film, is inspired by a specially created piece of music by composer-in-residence Philip Feeney. 

Central School of Ballet, the world-leading professional dance training organisation and part of the renowned Conservatoire for Dance and Drama, today announces the appointment of its new Executive Director Mark Osterfield. Mark will join Central mid-March to lead the organisation in its much-anticipated new home in the South Bank arts community in the London Borough of Southwark.

The renowned graduate performing company Ballet Central will commence its annual tour at Stratford Circus in London, on Thursday 26th March 2020. Under the artistic direction of Christopher Marney, Ballet Central's diverse range of dance and theatre will perform in 13 venues across England over a five month period (full tour schedule at the end of the release) concluding in London on 18th July.

Central School of Ballet today announces that Heidi Hall, Director of Central, will be leaving the school at the end of the spring term 2020. Heidi will oversee the organisation's move to its new world-class premises in the South Bank in London early next year before taking on a role as Director of an educational foundation in Cambridge. Heidi will remain involved with Central and will join the Board of Governors in April 2020.

Central School of Ballet, one of the world's leading centres for professional dance training, will present an evening to showcase a selection of new works by choreographers Jenna Lee and Sophie Laplane at Jackson's Lane Theatre on 19th June.   Four new pieces will be presented at Jackson's Lane, all created as part of Central's MA Choreography programme.  The evening will feature performances by Ballet Central and guest dancers from world-renowned companies English National Ballet and Scottish Ballet. 

Central School of Ballet announces new MA Choreography programme participants: Anjali Mehra-Hughes from New Adventures and Sandrine Monin from Phoenix Dance Theatre. The students joined Central this spring on the MA programme that takes 18 months on average to complete, providing the opportunity for professional choreographers to hone their skills, engage in research and develop their practice at the highest level.

Ballet Central is performing at the British Museum in a sell-out limited series of six performances, directed by Ballet Central Artistic Director Christopher Marney.

Following their sell-out performances last Christmas, Ballet Central will return to the ADC Theatre, Cambridge on 13th - 15th December to perform their adaptation of the Christmas classic, The Nutcracker.

Central School of Ballet has announced that Christopher Hampson, Artistic Director and Chief Executive of Scottish Ballet, will join Central's Board of Governors from the start of the new academic year in September 2018.
