Young performers from the Broadway community gathered to raise money for Story Shifters, a theatre residency for students with physical, medical and neurological impairments. Cabaret for a Cause will hold two shows on November 29th at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. Cabaret for a Cause was created in 2010 to bring together young professionals from Broadway, film and television to help others.

Broadway Matilda's, Sophia Gennusa, Oona Laurence, Bailey Ryon, and Milly Shapiro as well as Kerry Ingram (West End Matilda), Carly Paige Baron (Mary Poppins), Colin Critchley (Kinky Boots, Waiting For Godot), Emma Howard (Matilda), Sawyer Nunes (Matilda), Kara Oates (Mary Poppins, Billy Elliot), Julianna Rigoglioso (Mary Poppins, Far From Heaven), Abigail Shapiro (How the Grinch Stole Christmas), Hayden Signoretti (Mary Poppins, Richard III), took part in in Cabaret for a Cause on November 25th. The event was held at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre to raise money for Shifting Shakespeare.

After playing the role of Bert for over two years on the North American tour of MARY POPPINS, with a stint on Broadway in Summer 2010, NICOLAS DROMARD will return to the New Amsterdam Theatre, beginning performances on Wednesday, January 9. Tony Award nominee GAVIN LEE played his final performance before taking a leave of absence on Friday, January 4, 2013. He departs to join the West End production of Top Hat through Summer 2013.

Making Books Sing (MBS), the New York-based non-profit that promotes children's literacy and social development through arts-in-education programs and professional theatre productions, will present the Off-Broadway premiere of the family musical THE BUTTERFLY - with book and lyrics by Barbara Zinn Krieger and music by Charles Greenberg - with previews beginning April 14 prior to an official press opening of April 15 at Theater 3 (311 West 43rd Street) in Manhattan. Brad Malow will direct and music direction is by Tim Rosser.
