The Comateens’ Ramona Jan and Nicholas “Nic North” Dembling had just gotten started when they recorded “Danger Zone,” a sneering, blaring punk song spit-sung by Nicholas with Ramona Jan’s untutored guitars sounding like an electric razor, a catchy chorus floating in from Jan’s love of Motown.
The album also includes vocals courtesy of David Johansen (New York Dolls, Buster Poindexter), Robin Zander (Cheap Trick), and Terry Reid. Perry’s band mate in Hollywood Vampires Johnny Depp served as Executive Producer, while Aerosmith’s go-to producer Jack Douglas, Bruce Witkin, and Joe’s sons Tony and Roman also contributed.

The martini-swigging, tuxedo clad, rock and roll original is back! The Ridgefield Playhouse and Pepsi Rock Series bring Buster Poindexter to the stage on Today, January 19at 8 pm for an uproarious and dazzling night of music! Buster Poindexter (nee David Johansen) first attracted attention as a glam rock pioneer (in the New York Dolls, with whom he still tours) and then as an early MTV idol with his chart-topping dance hit "Hot Hot Hot".
