Michele Wiles' BalletNext gave its best performance at BAM Fisher (Fishman Space), on Friday, May 17, Founded in 2011, the dancers have developed and matured into a cooperating, fluid dance company, rather than a group of interesting soloists without connection to each other. The two works presented had been previously performed by BalletNext and were welcomed back, demonstrating growth, deeper understanding of the works, and a stronger connection with the audience.

BalletNext, led by internationally renowned dancer Michele Wiles, returns to the BAM Fisher (Fishman Space ) for a one-night-only benefit performance on Friday, May 9. Following a critically acclaimed season at New York Live Arts in January 2014, the company will present two popular works by Italian choreographer Mauro Bigonzetti and BalletNext's resident choreographer Brian Reeder. Live music by noted pianist Benjamin Laude will accompany the dancers.

Manhattan Youth Ballet and Manhattan Movement & Arts Center presented their Annual Spring Workshop Performances March 7- 9 at the Manhattan Movement & Arts Center, 248 West 60th Street. The Annual Spring Workshop Performances are the culmination of a rehearsal process that begins with a Winter Workshop Intensive each year.
