Bill Weeden Biography
Bill Weeden, who played The Boy's Father (Hucklebee) in the final New York cast of "The Fantasticks" at the Sullivan Street Playhouse, began his career as a writer of comedy and comic songs, contributing material to the famous revues at Julius Monk's Plaza 9- and Upstairs at the Downstairs and creating comedy for such performers as Lily Tomlin, Carol Channing, Dick Shawn, and Stiller & Meara. With partners David Finkle and Sally Fay, he formed a cabaret trio which won multiple awards as the best cabaret comedy group of its era. Weeden, Finkle & Fay went on to carve an impressive career as purveyors of corporate entertainment for Fortune 500 companies throughout the 1980s, but in 1993 Weeden left the group and became a legit and screen actor.
