Irish Rep Cancels Performances of THE STREETS OF NEW YORK Through December 26


Irish Repertory Theater is cancelling performances of The Streets Of New York through December 26, 2021.

Irish Repertory Theatre announced today casting and additional creative team members for The Streets of New York by Dion Boucicault, featuring adaptation, songs & direction by Charlotte Moore. The Streets of New York will begin previews on December 4, 2021, with an opening night scheduled for December 14 and a limited run through January 30, 2022.

Off-Broadway's award-winning Irish Repertory Theatre announces that two-time Tony Award-winner John Cullum will join them for their annual holiday offering, this year a revival of Dylan Thomas's classic A CHILD'S CHRISTMAS IN WALES.  Adapted and directed by Charlotte Moore, A CHILD'S CHRISTMAS IN WALES will begin previews on Tuesday, November 24th, 2015.  The Opening Night is schedule for Tuesday, December 1st. Hang A Tale's Reimagined THE LITTLE PRINCE to Open Off-Broadway Next Month


Hang A Tale's Kim Martin-Cotten will direct The Little Prince at The Pearl Theatre running now through March 22nd. The cast is lead by Tarah Flanagan as The Prince and Christopher Gerson as the Aviator, while a mercurial ensemble (Kimiye Corwin, Michael Arden Larson, Jacques Roy, Jude Sandy and Paola Styron) shape-shifts its way through the host of beautiful, hilarious, and bizarre characters that surround them. With live musical performance by Alexander Sovronsky, puppets and masks created by Matt Cotten of Puppets Among Us, and space travel courtesy of Christopher Gersons's video design, Hang A Tale creates a theatrical landscape to match the magic, poignancy and humor of this beloved classic. For the open-hearted, aged six to a hundred and six.

The Pearl Theatre Company kicks off its 30th anniversary season-the second season in its new home on West 42nd Street-with the first New York revival in 15 years of George Bernard Shaw's You Never Can Tell in a co-production with the Gingold Theatrical Group that is directed by David Staller. Running today, September 3-October 13, the show's sumptuous costumes, elegant settings and Shavian wit will raise a champagne toast to a year of celebration at The Pearl, where Shaw, following Shakespeare, has been the second most produced playwright in The Pearl's history. The production is also the centerpiece of the Shaw New York 2013 festival.
