Florida Studio Theatre (FST) has announced that, due to continued audience demand, the theatre is extending its high-energy Cabaret, A Place in the Sun: A Tribute to Stevie Wonder, for a third, and final, time.

With the help of celebrated guest artists,American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) raised $1.2 million at its 2018 Season Gala honoring Carey Perloff and her 25-year tenure as artistic director. Proceeds from the gala, held on Saturday, April 7 at San Francisco's Four Seasons Hotel, support A.C.T.'s professional training and education and community programs reaching more than 20,000 Bay Area-based recipients each year.

Pleasantville theater company Arc Stages announces Dig A Little Deeper to begin the new Next Stage Writer's Lab. The Next Stage premiered two years ago with John Cariani's LOVE/SICK and focuses on showcasing new, innovative work by a wide variety of exciting and talented writers. The Next Stage Writer's Lab will produce a few Readings each year with audience Q&A, in order to help new works reach audiences and to nurture the development process. The Next Stage is the third wing of a company that also includes a thriving Educational Stage and Community Stage.

According to the New York Times, Gerard Alessandrini's musical parody Spamilton will close Off Broadway on January 7, 2018.

Last night, Tuesday, November 14, the cast and crew of the hit off-Broadway show Spamilton celebrated an impressive 500 performances since opening in July of 2016. The best of Broadway will perform for FREE on six consecutive Thursdays this summer with '106.7 LITE FM's Broadway in Bryant Park 2017' - a lunchtime series on the Bryant Park Stage. Hosted by LITE FM's on-air personalities, the 17th annual presentation of open-air, On- and Off- Broadway lunch hour performances will run through Thursday, August 10.
