Theater For The New City To Present Leonard J. Lehrman’s SIMA And E.G.: A MUSICAL PORTRAIT OF EMMA GOLDMAN

Theater for the New City will present two operas by Leonard J. Lehrman, offering audiences parallel stories of Jewish survival and political activism. The productions include the New York City premiere of Sima and a revival of E.G.: A Musical Portrait of Emma Goldman. Both works will run in repertory and examine themes of trauma, identity, and resistance.

Tramm leads Jacques Offenbach's mercurial opera fantastique 'Les Contes d' Hoffmann' with libretto by Jules Barbier, this Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening in Manhattan Vocal Production's fully staged presentation of the French masterwork. In this unique production, now in its second and final week of performance, the opera will feature the rarely heard violin aria in the Antonia Act.
