The first night (Monday 6th November) sold out almost instantly so Soho Theatre has added a new date for the show – a matinee performance of ‘Grief… a Comedy’ on 9th November at 2.30pm.

Jim Frangione is a Massachusetts native actor, writer, director and now Artistic Director of the Great Barrington Public Theater. Jim has acted for over 30 years in New York and across the country, performing in the original Off Broadway production and the Alley Theatre & National Tour productions of Mamet's Oleanna.

When Alison Larkin told Archbishop Desmond Tutu about what happened after she fell in love for the first time in her 50s and the worst happened, he said 'Alison, you must tell this story, because it will bring hope.'

This year, tiny but esteemed audiobook producer, Alison Larkin Presents of Stockbridge, Massachusetts, is competing with the goliath publishers of the audiobook business for the 2022 Audie Award in the Literary Fiction & Classics category.

The Audio Publishers Association (APA) have announced finalists for the 2022 Audie Awards. Finalists include Cynthia Erivo for Best Female Narrator and Lin-Manuel Miranda for Best Male Narrator. Shakespeare & Company's Founding Artistic Director Tina Packer has teamed up with local audiobook publisher Alison Larkin to produce a new audiobook, Tales from Shakespeare. The audiobook includes ten short stories, written and recorded by Ms. Packer, based on the plays of William Shakespeare. It is published by Alison Larkin Presents.

'Bring it On' meets 'Dreamgirls' in the girl-group musical, 'Betty and the Belrays' by William Electric Black aka Ian Ellis James, which will be presented by Theater for the New City January 31 to February 17. The piece tells the story of three white female singers from Detroit who struggle to change a racially divided society by singing for a black record label. Book and lyrics are by William Electric Black. Music is by Black, Valerie Ghent (arranger/keyboards for Ashford & Simpson) and Gary Schreiner. Choreography is by Jeremy Lardieri. Director is Mr. Black.

Immediately following the 2 pm matinee of Alison Larkin LIVE!, presented by WAM Theatre on Saturday, May 5, all are invited to a lively post-show conversation with Alison, Etta Lappen Davis, Phyllis Lowinger, and Jean Strauss. The panelists will discuss adoption, reunion and what the brave new world of donor conception can learn from adopted people and their families. The conversation is free and open to the public.

WAM Theatre's Artistic Director Kristen van Ginhoven today announces plans for the company's 2018 season.
