Alison Larkin’s GRIEF...A COMEDY at The Mahaiwe To Be Filmed Before Live Audience
Alison Larkin's one-woman show will be directed by Scott Floyd Lochmus, with music by Gary Schreiner.
Alison Larkin's hit show, "Grief... A Comedy," comes to the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center, June 12 and 13, where it will be filmed before a live audience for an upcoming television special, directed by Scott Floyd Lochmus ("Barbra Streisand: Back to Brooklyn") with music by Gary Schreiner. Performances are June 12 at 7 p.m. and June 13 at 2 p.m.
After marriage, divorce, and raising two children, Alison - now in her 50s - had made peace with the idea that great romantic love had passed her by. Then she met Bhima at The Red Lion Inn in the Berkshires. What followed was a once-in-a-lifetime love story that would change everything and become the heart of "Grief... A Comedy."
Hailed by The Times of London as "hugely entertaining, marvelously light-footed" Larkin's electrifying performance takes audiences on a funny, moving, life-affirming journey that uplifts them and brings them hope long after the curtain falls.
Entertainment Now called Larkin's show "An exquisite piece ... beautiful and moving...This is truly a show that could change your outlook on life."
Larkin's Mahaiwe performances are rare opportunity to be part of the audience for the live filming of a show that is inspiring audiences around the world.
