It's time to journey on because Nicole Vanessa Ortiz from the Serenbe Playhouse's production of Ragtime is taking over BroadwayWorld's Instagram Story tomorrow, May 10th! Serenbe Playhouse is proud to present RAGTIME: THE MUSICAL. The Tony Award-winning musical based on E.L. Doctorow's acclaimed novel of the same name, it is a picture of this nation's hopes and pains as we entered the twentieth century.  Telling the diverse stories of African Americans, immigrants, and the elite upper-class, with a mix of real-life historical figures, it paints a canvas of a country on the verge of a new era. In a concept never seen before, this version will be reimagined in the style of Vaudeville under a giant Atlantic City tent!

New to Serenbe Playhouse, this immersive, brand new production will feature: Jacob S. Louchheim as Tateh (Operatic Baritone and Actor based in New York City known for his role in The Mile Long Opera and Sleepy Hollow at the Player's Theatre), Marcus Terrell Smith as Coalhouse Walker Jr. (The Book of Mormon National Tour, How The Grinch Stole Christmas at The Old Globe), and Nicole Vanessa-Ortiz as Sarah (Off-Broadway: Smokey Joe's Cafe, Spamilton, Grand Prize Winner for Wendy William's Next Great Voice).

SHENANDOAH opened at Serenbe Playhouse in Atlanta on March 13 and is running through April 14, 2019. The story of one family's struggle living in the Shenandoah Valley during the American Civil War leaps to life in a hidden field in Serenbe, transporting you to the rolling hills of Virginia. A theatrical journey of heartbreak and ultimately hope in a fight for human rights will erupt out of an actual Civil War reenactment with over 100 soldiers, canons, horses and with an all-star cast of singermusicians in a fight for Freedom and Love!

Back for an exciting fifth season, this Playhouse holiday tradition is beloved by kids ages 1 to 101. Watch as Gerda overcomes fear on a journey to save her brother, Kai, from the Snow Queen's powerful enchantment before her icy spirit overtakes his heart. Ring in the holiday season with this strikingly beautiful adaptation in which love proves stronger than cynicism, complete with a celebratory snowfall at the end of the play - a crowd favorite to mark the end the year for Serenbe Playhouse!
