Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition at New York Live Arts

Valentina Kozlova, former principal dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet and New York City Ballet, announces the 14th International Ballet Competition, with 150 dancers from 15 countries around the world, dancing for company contracts and scholarships to dance academies from Sao Paulo to Paris.  President of both the classical and contemporary dance juries is prima ballerina Nina Ananiashvili, presiding over international dance figures including artistic directors of the Boston Ballet, Ballet Hispanico, Graham II, and many more.  Rounds will take place at New York Live Arts, April 8, 9 & 10, all starting at 1 PM.  April 8 is Classical Ballet round; April 9 Classical Ballet finals; April 10 Contemporary Dance.  Audience members may arrive and leave as they wish, and they may also step out and return by showing their tickets.  (The Gala and announcement of winners will take place Sat.
