Shakespeare’s Sisters is a one woman show set in middle America. Mara is a woman who has just been admitted to the Hydro ward in an insane asylum for women. She gets an idea to take on Shakespeare as her alter ego, and through him, and with him, she writes herself well. In the process she writes about her fellow patients, her sisters, and with love, humor and wit she tells the tales of splintered lives, recounts in detail the various stories of her sisters, their odd sights, and their torn souls.
