“The Composer as Architect” is the first of four concerts in PhiloSonia’s inagural season, Revelations. A heart-beat-like rhythm, melodies evoking a composer’s native folklore; this concert looks at the different elements composers use to unify their work: Johannes Brahms Violin Sonata No. 1, Op 78, Edvard Grieg Violin Sonata No. 3 in c minor, Witold Lutoslawski Subito.
Stanichka Dimitrova, violin; Spencer Myer, piano
In four concerts our first season "Revelations", takes you on a journey through the struggles and triumphs of different composers as expressed through their masterpieces
